Jon Harris

Jon has been in the security industry for nearly 20 years. He began as a Security Officer at a university campus before joining a contract security company as an account manager. He then moved into a Site Security Manager role in the aerospace and defense industry, where he developed through various positions of greater responsibility until wrapping up his “End User” tenure leading the Global Security and Trade Compliance organization.

Transitioning into the service provider side of the business in 2018, Jon was the A&E Consultant Program Manager for LenelS2 before transitioning to consulting as the Director of Enterprise Solutions for Guidepost Solutions. In 2021, he moved to Group337 as Vice President – Strategy Consulting and is now the Head of Ecosystem Partnerships at HiveWatch. In 2022, Jon established Apex Performance, which delivers leadership and performance development for Security Professionals.

A regular speaker at industry events, Jon has presented at GSX, AcceleRISE, and various seminars/webinars. Jon has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He has also acquired the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications.
